ÉLAINE HÉBERT Production Executive

After obtaining her degree in communications from Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), Élaine Hébert works as production coordinator and assistant to the producers on various independent projects and advertising campaigns.

She produces her first film in 2004, Road Sweet Road, a short documentary about a trucker’s life on American highways. In 2005, she joins micro_scope and works on the post-production of Louise Archambault’s Familia. She temporarily leaves the company to spend a few months at INIS, where she receives the grant given each year by the APFTQ to the most promising producer. The three films she produces there are shown worldwide; her last production, Après tout (After All), wins a string of awards around the world, amongst which Best Canadian Film at the Worldwide Short Film Festival and Best Short Film at the 2008 Genie Awards.

She comes back to micro_scope in 2006 as production executive, taking part in the production of Congorama, Continental, un film sans fusil and C'est pas moi, je le jure!, while developing the company’s short films projects. She is currently completing the post-production of her two latest shorts, Les réfugiés and Karl.
