After obtaining her Master's in Fine Arts from Concordia University, Louise Archambault works as an assistant director, still photographer, advertising director and line producer.
Since 2000, Louise focuses on her own film projects. Her first short Atomic saké (1999) wins the Jutra prize in 2000 for best Quebec short as well as the award for best film at the Delle Donne International Film Festival in Turin, Italy.
In 2005, her debut feature Familia receives the City TV Award for Best Canadian First Feature Film at the Toronto Film Festival. A few months later, Louise receives the Claude-Jutra Award for Best First Film at the Genie Awards Gala in Toronto.
Louise is currently working on a new feature project for micro_scope entitled Le chant des invisibles.
