micro_scope is an independent production company based in Montreal, Canada. Founded by Luc Déry in 2002, the company mainly focuses on the development and production of innovative, inventive and accessible feature films. Joined by producer Kim McCraw in 2004, Déry and his team also strive to make sure each of the company's films reaches its full potential once released. The young company's productions have been noticed by some of the world's most prestigious festivals, including Cannes ,Venice, Berlin, Locarno and Toronto. micro_scope is currently putting the last touch on Denis Villeneuve's next feature, Incendies, adapted from Wajdi Mouawad's critically-acclaimed play and shot in Quebec and Jordan. Starring Lubna Azabal, Mélissa Désormeaux-Poulin, Maxim Gaudette and Rémy Girard the film will be released in Fall 2010. micro_scope is also in post-production on Stéphane Lafleur’s second feature, En terrains connus. In Summer 2010, the team will be back on set for Bashir Lazhar, a Philippe Falardeau feature based on a stage play by Evelyne de la Chenelière. micro_scope is currently working on the post-production of Denis Villeneuve's next feature, Incendies.
